October 8 & 9: Fort Verde Days
Fort Verde State Historic Park held its annual Fort Verde Days celebration. Activities included flag-raising and lowering ceremonies, living history presentations and re-enactors, special presentations, a fashion show, cavalry drills and a vintage baseball game!
Event Schedule: Saturday, October 8
- 9:00 am Flag Raising Ceremony & Welcome
- 10:00 am Fort Verde Days Parade in Camp Verde
- 1:30 pm Presentation by Dr. Sam Palmer on Battle of Big Dry Wash
- 2:00 pm Vintage Baseball Game
- 2:30 pm Period Fashion Show
- 4:30 pm Flag Retreat Ceremony

- 10:00 am Infantry Drill
- 10:30 am Period Church service (non-denominational) in front of Commanding Officer’s Quarters

- 2:00 pm Flag Retreat Ceremony
