Februrary 2011: Florence Home Tour
This yearly event opens a number of historic buildings to the public. The buildings range in age from the 1870s to the 1930s. Visit the Florence website
for more information.
November 2009: Veteran's Day Celebration

Celebrate Veteran's Day at McFarland.
During the annual Veterans Day Celebration watch re-anactors representing time periods from 1775 to present in a March and Military Review. Visitors also enjoy firearms and cannon demonstrations, plus other hands-on history activities. See America's past come to life and pay tribute to America's military.
The city of Florence also holds events during the weekend.
The local American Legion hosts a 1940s Big Band era dinner and dance on Saturday night. Tickets for the dance can be purchased at American Legion.
At McFarland State Historic Park, visitors see and feel for themselves the history of Arizona and the people who helped shape it. They do this by touring the buildings, seeing and reading documents from all three branches of government in which "Mac" McFarland served, and by participating in the many special events that take place throughout the year.
