Camping Sites Fee Reduced during Construction at Patagonia Lake State Park

(Phoenix, Arizona - March 18, 2007) - Construction on restrooms at Patagonia Lake State Park is now in progress. The construction should be completed by the end of July 2008 but no end-date has, as yet, been confirmed. During the construction, the park will remain open and camping fees will be reduced.

The camping rates will be reduced from $15 to $10 for developed camping and from $22 to $15 for a hook-up.

The construction will include demolition of the three campground restrooms and will be replaced with new ones. There will be no shower facilities until the new restrooms are in-place and operational. The two day-use restrooms with no showers, located at the Marina and the west end of the park, will be operational during construction. In addition, portable toilets will be located near the removed restrooms.

For more information call Patagonia Lake State Park at (520) 287-6965. Park entrance fees are $7 per vehicle. Patagonia Lake State Park is located at 12 miles northeast of Nogales on AZ 82 and four miles north on Patagonia Lake Road.
